Hood Construction’s President and CEO, Mark Hood, was inducted into the Carolinas Association of General Contractors’ 2022 Hall of Fame this month, which celebrates hard work, perseverance, and achievement of those in the construction industry. Along with this year’s class of eight other individuals, Mark and company were recognized for their embodiment of the skill, integrity, and responsibility for which the Carolinas AGC and the National AGC stand.

The purpose of the Carolinas AGC Hall of Fame is to honor prestigious members, both past and present, who have made extraordinary contributions over their careers to CAGC, the construction industry, and the community they serve. Mark has been highly involved with CAGC throughout his career, having served as the Executive Board Chairman, Executive Board Treasurer, Director-at-Large Board Member, Building Services Division Board Chairman, CAGC PAC Legislative Committee, and the CAGC/AIA Joint Committee Chairman. Having founded Hood Construction in 1986, Mark this year celebrated 36 years of “Building it the Right Way” with Hood Construction.

“Receiving this honor is a testament to the quality of our team,” said Mark, “Without the incredible people who I am privileged to have working with us at Hood Construction – past and present — I would not be here today.” Project Manager Austin Hood added, “What a privilege to see my father and this company honored by the CAGC Hall of Fame. A fitting award for decades of service and leadership to his family, coworkers, clients, the construction industry and friends.”
